Description:

These healthful pulses from Al Wadi Al Akhdar form the basis of a Mezze dish known as Balilla. Bring the chick peas to a boil, and drain. Add about a cup of finely chopped green onions, a quarter cup each of lemon juice and olive oil, then salt and pepper to taste. Cool till tepid and serve with parsley or mint garnish.
