Braised Chicken With Pomegranate Glaze

The perfect chicken, prepared with an exquisite pomegranate glaze marinade.


  • 8 Chicken breasts
  • 4 Tbsp Al Wadi Al Akhdar pomegranate glaze
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • ½ Tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • ½ Cup fresh thyme leaves
  • 4 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 Cups chicken stock
  • ½ Cup Al Wadi Al Akhdar extra virgin olive oil

  • For Garnish
  • ½ Cup pomegranate arils
  • Fresh thyme leaves

Step 1

Marinate the chicken breasts with all the ingredients except the pomegranate seeds in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F.

Step 3

Transfer the chicken with the marinade to a large pan and place in the oven to cook for around 30-40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Step 4

Remove the chicken from the oven, transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with extra pomegranate glaze if desired and sprinkle with the pomegranate arils and fresh thyme leaves. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
