A traditional recipe with a touch of pomegranate!


  • 2 bags of Al Wadi Al Akhdar frozen artichoke
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 500 gr of ground meat
  • 100 gr of pine nuts
  • 1 cup of Al Wadi Al Akhdar pomegranate molasses
  • ½ cup of Vegetable oil
  • 1 L of water
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of seven spices
  • Pinch of sumac
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes
  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 spoons of butter

Step 1

Boil the artichokes and put them in an oven tray.

Step 2

In a pan, add the vegetable oil and fry the onions with the meat, spices and salt.

Step 3

Stuff each artichoke with the meat mix, and put them on a tray. Top each artichoke with a cherry tomato. Cover with water and put in oven for around 20 minutes.

Step 4

Dissolve the pomegranate molasses in a cup of water and pour over the artichokes. Serve with rice.


Add sugar to the boiling artichokes to preserve their color.
