Peas & Carrots Stew

A simple and easy Lebanese recipe for a delicious and healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of Al Wadi Al Akhdar Olive Oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 300g of meat, chopped
  • 1 frozen bag Al Wadi Al Akhdar Peas & Carrots
  • 50g of Al Wadi Al Akhdar Tomato Paste
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 5 cups of beef stock

Step 1

Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat; add the onions and fry till light golden then add the garlic and fry for another 30 seconds.

Step 2

Meanwhile, add the meat pieces to the garlic and onions and cook until golden color.

Step 3

Add Al Wadi Al Akhdar Frozen Peas & Carrots bags and mix for 1 minute.

Step 4

Add Al Wadi Al Akhdar Tomato Paste.

Step 5

Add the stock, salt, cinnamon, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer for 15 to 20 min or until veggies are tender.

Serve with rice.

Tip:

For a vegetarian version, replace beef stock with vegetable stock and do not add the meat pieces.
