- 1 pack Al Wadi Al Akhdar Puff Pastry, thawed
- 2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 ¼ cups (250g) sugar
- 1 tsp (3 g) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) flour
- 1 cup (250g) red fruits of choice (Raspberries, Blueberries, etc…)
- Icing sugar, as desired
For the Pastry Cream
In bowl, place eggs, sugar, vanilla and flour and whisk until combined.
Heat the milk until warm.
Pour half of the hot milk onto the eggs mixture while whisking then transfer back the egg/milk mixture into the pan with the remaining milk. Whisk until the mixture is thick.
Set aside to cool.
For the Mille Feuilles:
Unfold the pastry sheet. With a pastry wheel or serrated knife, cut pastry into 16 rectangles of the same size.
Place onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place another tray on top of the pastry sheets.
Bake at 200C for 30 mins or until golden brown.
Using a spoon or spatula, spread cream on the base of the puff pastry. Place an amount of red fruits and stack another pastry on top.
Decorate with red fruits and icing sugar.
