A ground reddish to purple powder that is used as a spice in Middle Eastern cuisine to add a lemony taste to salads, marinades & savory dishes. It’s also used to garnish mezze dishes such as fattouch, Lebanese tomato salad and hummus tahini. It can substitute fresh lemon juice in many recipes and is also added to the famous Lebanese Za’atar powdered mix used in Manakeesh.
