party foodAnytime you have some friends over for dinner or a party, it’s bound to be a good time. But, as you probably know, your guests will be talking about the food when they leave. That’s why we’ve rounded up our top 5 timeless party foods that will leave your guests talking for long after the party is over. Check out how you can get it exactly right, from the appetizers all the way to the dessert.

Finger foods
Finger foods are the most reliable choice to serve at a party or dinner. Everybody loves them and they’re easy to nibble on while making conversation without being too distracted. Lamb sfeeha, artichokes stuffed with meat, stuffed vine leaves, and cheese rekakat are all great Lebanese finger foods that are also healthy! If you want to serve non-Middle Eastern appetizers, you can, for example, serve some blinis with ricotta cheese, walnuts, and pomegranate molasses. Another great choice would be caramelized onions and mushrooms feuilletes.

Middle Eastern dips
You can never go wrong with hummus. It goes very well with many vegetables and crackers and is a favorite on all occasions. You can serve the classic recipe with just olive oil, or you can add some roasted red peppers or meat. Aside from hummus, put out some bowls of baba ghanouge, muhammara, eggplant dip with yogurt and zaatar, or tahini sauce. These all go great with many vegetables.

Quiches are a crowd pleaser and take no longer than an hour to make – that’s a pretty good deal! Just spread your shortcrust pastry on a pan, put in whatever ingredients seem good to you, and serve.

Chicken wings
The great thing about chicken wings is that the possibilities are endless when it comes to sauces. You can just fry or grill them plain and put out different sauces so your guests can choose which to have. You can also try our coriander chicken wings recipe – it’s sure to satisfy any taste.

Simple salads
In a party, you don’t want your salads to be overfilled with ingredients. Keep it simple so that people won’t fill up on it and miss out on the remaining foods. Tabouli, fattoush, and raheb salad are some of our most beloved light choices. For a more eccentric salad, you can prepare a watermelon salad with rosewater pomegranate molasses and feta.

Hosting a party can be a bit stressful, but as long as you follow our advice, you’ll keep those guests coming back for more. What other foods do you think would make your party better?
