Delicious-Additions-to-Your-School-Sandwiches

Back to school and back to packing lunch boxes every morning! It might sound like an easy task, but you want to make sure your kids are excited to eat their sandwiches and get the nutrients they need to stay focused in class. For that reason, we’ve compiled a list of subtle additions that take the boring out of the traditional sandwich!

Jam

Who can resist a cheese and strawberry jam sandwich? Or maybe your child is more of a fan of apricot jam; either way, you will be ensuring your children a fulfilling and enjoyable fusion of flavors that their friends will envy!
What’s also great about jam is that you can simply spread it alone on some bread, or add a tad of butter, and it’ll give you energy to last for hours.

Honey

This sandwich is one our favorite afternoon snacks: banana and honey! Yes, you read that right. Your children will be eating their fruits and getting the endless health benefits of honey such as antioxidants, anti-bacterial benefits and increased athletic performance. And the combinations of honey are plenty! Try it with some goat cheese, rocket leaves, and walnuts – yummy!

Dried Cranberries

Peanut butter and dried cranberries sandwich: a nutrient packed lunch indeed! Spread a dab of peanut butter on some bread and sprinkle it with a few dried cranberries for a savory sweet delicious lunch. Another great choice would be a turkey and dried cranberry sandwich.

Pickles

Not only do pickles make a juicy addition to a ham and cheese sandwich, they also contain many nutritional benefits that are good for your child’s health. For example, pickled cucumbers contain probiotics and antioxidants that are extremely important for the body!

Making food that will keep your child happy is not so difficult after all! You can easily provide your children the nutrition they need, all in one delicious wrap. It’s also fun for you to get creative with your sandwiches. Who knows, you might come up with combinations you never knew about! What are you making for your child tomorrow?
